Hawaiian Pre-construction Blessing Ceremony!
In keeping with Hawaiian tradition, prior to construction, the site of the Blum-McGlynn Kohala Ranch KONAUS House was blessed. An Hawaiian Kahu, or spiritual guardian, chants to invoke the spirits, and spreads salt water to cleanse the land. After this rite, he is joined by the homeownwers, and together they untie the leis that are strung between the portal posts at the entry. The site is now open for construction.
